I am having a really hard time putting this book down! It is so fascinating to think about our ancestry, that there were species of humans that existed for over 2 million years!

Did you know that at one point in time, there were more than 13 different species of humans living on the earth at the same time? We have a hard enough time getting along with different races of our own species (homosapien) — imagine how it would be if we had neanderthals and homoerectus running around!

I am still not finished this book but just had to tell everyone how highly I recommend it and think it’s one of the greatest books you can pick up if you are into REAL history. Not the history of the last 5,000 years, more like the last 50,000 years!

I don’t want to give away all the other great facts that you will learn in this book, but as is not surprising, and sad, is violence and destruction is a pretty core part of homosapiens existence. Whenever we enter an enviornment, several species start going extinct. This is not new for us.
